    2. This is very important. If the case against Gloucestershire and Somerset is successful in challenging the legality of the closures, all other County Councils will be required to conform to the precedent. There are legal obligations for every County Council to provide libraries and one hopes that the courts will uphold those rights.
      I am waiting to see the outcome of this with my fingers crossed.
      If the campaigners have got legal aid, it's nice to see some of that being claimed for something useful (for a change).
